Poems by Rumi

Been reading some poetic works by Jalaluddin Rumi, the philosopher musician. As you read on his enthralling and soul-stirring creations, you cannot help but become one with his thoughts. Associated with Rumi are the famed whirling Dervishes; the both go on to instill a sense of awe and joy, not just in the mind, but in the soul.

Some thoughts of Rumi -

"We are the flute, our music is all Thine;
We are the mountains echoing only Thee;
And movest to defeat or victory;
Lions emblazoned high on flags unfurled
The wind invisible sweeps us through the world"

"In your light I learn how to love
In your beauty, how to make poems
You dance inside my chest,
where no one sees you,
but sometimes I do,
and that sight becomes this art"
